COWGIRL DAWN

COWGIRL DAWN

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter
"

a ranch morning

"

COWGIRL DAWN

caressed by amber fingered dawn
i smile and bless our mother earth each  morning
wearing the peachsilk cloak of morning mist
and the well work formed felt stetson
listening to the happy chortle snuffling of our border collies
and the whuff snort of cow horses
munching sweet oat/vetch hay
with wonder at the glorious promise of our work filled day
stretching gold velvet before us...

Country folk are the hardest working people... so many work from dawn till dusk. I admire that.
Very nicely written.
