SILENCE

SILENCE

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter

SILENCE
when the stars fall,
the elders sit quiet
around a small fire
to watch with wonder,
they ponder many things
waiting for the light shower to end
and the balance to be reset...
they ponder in silence
for they have nothing to add...
the great spirit and mother earth
have always taken care of the star fall
and it is said they always will...

the elders are smart enough to know that they have nothing to add...mother nature takes care of herself, regardless of the abuse we sometimes give her...she will outlast all of us.
