start with a a large pinch of soul core LOVE dropped in a favorite mixing bowl add 4 c of flour next 1 tbs of baking powder add 1 tsp salt add 2 tbs powdered milk mix with thought of joy and love add 1 ½ cups warm water mix with a large pinch of LOVE to form dough dip your loving hands in flour knead this dough by hand until soft but not sticky cover with a cloth (a favorite one will add more LOVE ) let stand for 15 minutes (i spend these minutes listening to songs i really LOVE, “precious memories” with the voice of willie nelson comes to mind) next shape the dough into balls about 2" across then flatten by patting and stretching the dough melt a cup of shortening in your favorite frying pan about 1" deep then put the dough into the pan fry on one side untill golden brown then turn and fry the other side to the same golden brown this finished bread can be topped with taco style ingrediants for a meal or with butter and honey or powdered sugar for a fine desert... and is, my special gift to all, indian fry bread easily created with a large pinch of LOVE...jc
