VENGEFUL TIME
the black knight, time,
shambles like a stumbling clown
in a deadly endless skit,
along unmarked trails
from one universe to the next,
thirsting for laughter, and applause,
receiving only a rare nod
from humanity chained to
the frantic struggle for material goods...

the black knight
relentlessly
hones his sword
with wicked glee
in response to the guidance
of ancient gods,
thirsting for revenge
for the ultimate insult,
the denial of their existence,
and the recurring birth of new gods,
springing full grown from the
shattered souls on the battlefields of eternity...
