WOODS IN RAINA Poem by jeannemarie coulterWOODS IN RAIN
ancient redwood and cedars whisper eternity’s secrets to rain damp ferns as i walk through the forest toward russian gulch my terrior dances about my feet while belladonna and steve are snuffleling along the trail out in front eager to reach the small bay hoping to play fetch with driftwood tossed into seafoam or tag with irritated seagulls in the surf... a soft rain is falling washing everything clean and fresh crisp and new ... as the cool grey night slips in to remind us it is time to head home for hot chocolate amaretto laced and a warm dog pile cuddle on the rug by the warm fire... © 2015 jeannemarie coulterReviews
