LACEWING SUNBEAM BALLET

LACEWING SUNBEAM BALLET

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter

LACEWING SUNBEAM BALLET
after the rain
exploding from their patient carnivorous larvae existence
molting out of cracked backs into the sunlight
leaving husks with legs askew
the lacewings choreograph their one day ballet of sunshine and coitus
across the flower face of my garden..

Wow! Jeannemarie - I never seen anything like these elegant creatures. Its as if someone has popped the colours out of a butterflies wings, with their thumbs.I see why the 'ballet' reference - they look so graceful. You penned a beautiful nature study here. Divine!
