ALONE

ALONE

A Poem by jeannemarie coulter
"

of LOVE passing

"

ALONE

"cold air
           shifting breeze
                      pale moon...
alone
          walking
                       because sleep eludes,
alone
          listening
                       to frogs
singing
          in the soft
                        mist wet night...
they
          sing of
                         LIFE...
           of LOVE...
ALONE...
            because
                          YOU
have
            passed into
                           the next plane
i have
            lost my voice
                             to sing of
LIFE...
             of LOVE...
                              a whisper
soft
              as the shifting breeze
                              in tall grass,
brushes my heart...
               brushes my soul
                              I AM
here...
            as long as
                             YOU LIVE...
as long
            as your
                            SPIRIT
pulses
            on/in any plane...
                            I will be
with YOU...
             LOVE YOU...
                            we were,
are,
            will always
                          be...
our LOVE
            is eternal
                          dancing
 in the
            "star stuff"
                          of the universe
forever
            expanding,
                          opalescent,
ALIVE...

This is just beautiful. It has that sad feeling of losing a loved one but then has that slight confidence that you will someday see each other again. I think hope is one of the most beautiful things in this world, because it can make the impossible happen. I also like the format of this poem, it was fun to read and flowed very nicely. A great poem :)

A beautifully crafted and formatted piece of work. I think we all can relate to a time of when we have lost our voice

oh this is so sad but beautiful. The passing of a loved one and how we hang on to their memories...

Our love is eternal dancing in the star stuff

Love that !!

thank you...our love was/is very deep and still with me in spite of cancer taking him in 97
This is a heart-rending and compassionate poem. The emptiness one feels after losing a loved one is something that gets to the core of our being and forces us to ask ourselves who we are. I believe they never leave. They are only magnified within us where they stay forever.

You've created a passionate poem here in a uniquely worded format. Haunting.
