The Anti-Sherlock

The Anti-Sherlock

A Poem by jbop

Please do not fall. No not for me.
For I cannot catch you.
You see, I am searching for the quietest patience
and the highest winds.
I yearn for the most beautiful raindrop
in a flood of a thousand seas.
I seek the most peaceful of lightening bolts and
the kindest of killer bees.
So I keep on searching too.
I will wander the vastest oceans,
I will sing to the stars and swim to the moon.
I will drive a million miles to ask the foolish man
when I can be expecting you.
"On the twelfth of never, four thousand years from now"
he will say,
as you tap me on the shoulder.
And I will wait still.

This is actually beautiful, I'm glad you posted it. :) And whilst you're waiting for the most peaceful of lightening bolts you should write lots more. x
