Confusion

Confusion

A Poem by Janine Boiselle
"

This is a Shakespearean sonnet I wrote for English class back when I was a junior in high school.

"
Inside of your mind is nothing to see.
With clouds of misery and pouring rain,
a mist of silence divides you from me;
the only victor is the endless pain.
Another day brings another goodbye;
a steady build of agony alarms.
The core of truth is now all left a lie.
Honesty has vanished from broken arms.
With one stream of words we can soon be glad
and raise a smile to the sky above.
This desire we hate that makes us sad
brings hope and a reason to love
a popular act: foolish and callow,
is hiding in water that is too shallow?

Janine Boiselle
I have no fuckin idea what I was trying to say in this poem. Maybe I was just trying to hit the syllable and pattern structure... what kind of message did you get out of it? I'd love to hear thoughts.

I am no poetry critic , so I wont try to be one . I assume ( for the most part ) this poem said what you needed it to say . I chose this poem to read because ..lets be honest here " I Dwell in Darkness " so the title was apt for the type of Literature I like to read ....so yeah " Confusion" was good , I liked it. Oh , and on a final note my poem you reviewed of mine was a " Final Draft " & it was supposed to be " choppy " . You can find my latest Literature at : http://thefearmachine.blogspot.com . It`s called " Awake " . You`ll find it to be ...quite different from " Black Leeches -OBEY " Peace ! ;-)
