Remember
A Poem by Joey K
Remember
Fruitless
worries or zealful faithfulness Only to fear the unknown again as
you pass away or embrace it
Pain avoided or endured Only to
live in regret or rejoice
Living for yourself or living for
others Only to conflict within the mind or be held in another's
arms
Hoarding gold or healing souls Cold-hearted yet self
drowning or self-defining and vulnerable
Trapped within this
cursed mind, I bare Rattled thoughts and confusing dialogue
ensnare Growing weak, after stumbling alone for so long
But remember
There is no need to fear the life you'll live
tomorrow The pain you endured in the past The one that left you
behind Or the one you hope to see when you die

Original structure, such such insight, i'd say this poem is a plant with wisdom flowers, the lines are branches neatly ordered in a certain way, beautiful poetic intelligence blooming onwards. The title fits aptly, these are words one would need to read to guide thoughts that recur. A suggestion for wording- "zealful faith" sounds better for the flow. This a poem of two alternative actions, each inevitably experienced by us, and each important for growth, was enjoyable indeed.

And to be honest I wasn't even thinking about it until the last five lines! I like the word zealful too, so it has been changed. Thank you for the suggestion. I'm glad you caught such meaning from my poem, thanks!
