Her Mask

Her Mask

A Poem by J.B. Hastings
"

Business class again...lol

"

Her smile is cold and blank,

Behind the mask she wears.

She stands alone,

On top of the world.

This world is perfect.

But that is all but true.

For she sees the horror,

Of our "Perfect World".

While on top,

You can see the bottom.

Pretty, smart, talented.

Abused, cheated, and lied to.

This is her world.

Behind the mask she wears.

Amazing how connected we are my dear. I love this poem. You should read "Under the Mask". This poem inspired me to put it up finally. :)

I think this is really fantastic, especially the line: "while on top/ you can see the bottom." Wonderful. =]
