black

black

A Poem by Jazzy

He sits upon the wall watching me.

His eyes enveloped in black,

His coat stiff upon his back.

He's black as night,

no light in sight.

He lives in murderers minds and fears,

and causes children their salty tears.

Watching, waiting

forever hating.

The one in my nightmare

who stands up my neck hair.

Covered in blackness,

no color within;

he lives in sadness,

his heart made of tin.

This unimportant man,

is less than he seems;

where he flew to, not ran

is the ceilings beams.

He's not a man at all

who stands in the hall,

but a crow that is perched upon the barbed wire wall.
