Childhood

Childhood

A Poem by Jazzy

Standing here thinking nothing about everything

And knowing everything about nothing.

Pulling my hats strings, dumbfounded,

living my life completely unbounded.

And that's why childhood is so great,

You see it as an open gate;

calling you in and inviting you to stay,

but all the while letting you play.

So i'll live this life free,

without a care to be.

And i know i'll remember,

even after i'm surrendered,

to the dark days of teen hood,

this wonderful childhood.

I love the rhyming! And I like how you went right into "and that's why childhood is so great".
