Tom: A death in three parts

Tom: A death in three parts

A Poem by A.J. Alexander
"

Rest in peace.

"

I.

His memory deserves our silence.

You're all
just
too
loud.

II.

I didn't know you.
I couldn't really like you.
I certainly never loved you.

So why am I still in pain?

III.

We never spoke,
except one greeting murmured in passing.
I suppose our first conversation
will be between me and a coffin.
