Letter 8: To My Favorite Internet Friend

Dear Christopher Carbajal,

 

You were my first official Internet friend even though I had a vague idea of who you were. However, the Internet made us great friends.  You added me on Facebook and I felt like I knew you so I added you. One day you talked to me and the rest was history. We talked almost every night that we could. And about anything… philosophy, T.V. shows, music, relationships, looks, even what we thought of each other.  I always had a great time talking to you. You gave me a lot of motivation, advice and knowledge to move on with my life after it fell to pieces. Told me all the boys in my past were lame cakes and that I was too pretty not to find a great guy. And that I was smart, hardworking and had a lot of potential. You gave me the boost to (as you always told me) (I swear this is your catchphrase) “Rise up, stand up and fight”. Your a fighter. Thats always who you have been. And that will serve a great purpose in your life. As much as you say you wish you could have had all these opportunities in the past and that you could have been the guy in university, there is no one I revere smarter and wiser than you. You are a natural born leader and you have great future ahead of you. I have faith in you in all you future endeavors because you had faith in me when I didn't have any. You always pushed me to challenge myself of what I was capable of. You made me feel like I was worth something again. And yet I’m texting you know about why twin beds suck.  You are a great friend and it is a shame you live so far away but you had to get out of this hick town and one day so will I when I’m ready. I owe you so many thank yous its not funny but maybe if you ever read this letter you’ll understand what you mean to me and how I’ll always be grateful to be your last few friends here in Hollister
