Music

I wrote this a during a poetry slam in Writers Gathering, our school's writing club and i just decided to put it on . The words are: Dragon, Sand, Kiddy, Totalitarianism, Literacy, Oblivious, Pirate, Chiplock(some made up word).

Music is my power

like the dragon has her fire

 

Music runs through my veins

like the sand that falls through your hand

 

Music sets me free

as the rain does for a little kiddy of three

 

Music controls my mind

like the totalitarian ruler of my universe

 

Music speaks to me

like the literacy of the Bard

 

Oblivious but wise, as the pirate, music may seem

Music is the chiplock of my being
