Lies

Lies

A Poem by Jacquelene Vanessa Moreno

Walking on glass filled with yesterday’s flame
I look above and call his name
What have you done? what will you do?
Please don’t leave me alone in this beast filled brew
When I look at you I see promise
Why can’t you just be honest?

So many possible answers could return - and each could be valid to to the speaker but so unfair for the listener. More in this case would not lessen the impact nor the emotional content.
