Catharsis

Catharsis

A Poem by jaylastars

       Awaken

Roars the wind to the soul

Awaken and it charges

an icy rush

   crystal sharp

       cutting in clarity

oh so cold

     oh so free

and sees a world of blue

flying now, soaring

Throw back your head it cries

and the energy crackles

     stirs in the veins.

raise to gaze at the heavens

    flying rising floating

Can you feel it it laughs

feel the rush

the air

    the cold

        blue blue blue

and diving, and whirling, and wheeling,

this exalted feeling

     all consuming

cuts the soul

til its jagged and sharp and clear

     crisp and razored and icy

the wind it giggles

like bells and chimes

     recalls summers

all those years ago

the sun then was a lazy gold

spilling molten through the silvered boughs

the sun now is a fiery bright

and the wind

            oh so free

it whispers, tickling the ear,

Awaken. Arise. Live.
