Bloody Bluebird

Bloody Bluebird

A Poem by julian
"

The first half of a finished verse. 'Bluebird' term inspired by Charles Bukowski's 'Bluebird'

"
There's a bluebird in my heart that just can't sit still
Spilling it in blue ink this page flutters its will
In an empire of ruthless proportion I rise higher
Singing above the cloud of contortion in blue-sky choir,
This is the melody not the remedy
of those systematically oppressed
Living their lives distressed -
While we stuck worrying 'bout the f*****g way we dressed.

Cause kids are getting stoned while kids are getting stoned
Mothers getting raped and homes getting blown.
