The Tree of Promise

The Tree of Promise

A Poem by The Crimson Prince
"

To the ones who has left and was left.

"
Once long age, a vow was made on that tree
With all the love you felt with me.
Sweet memories  we shared together,
That we both wished to last forever.

But one day, a bad thing happened.
Something that led us to an end.
And the painful fact that I can't forget,
Is the lack of trust, that's my sentiment!

Why is everything the same as it was?
Why does my heart still beat over the past?
Why does the sun still shine?
And why do they cry, these eyes of mine?

I thought the world ended when you said 'goodbye'.
And without you, I am going to die.
But these heart of mine is still alive.
And hopes, wishful hopes are growing strong.

Oh! That tree isn't yours anymore.
You cut it when you left before.
I'm always there waiting for the rain,
Hoping that those branches will grow again...

Very nice piece, I understand fully harboring feelings, not fun stuff.
