Bay of Waves in Sound

Bay of Waves in Sound

Calmly combat the thin airy waves

Pulsing around you, spreading their beat

Shocked from the gelatin oozing out,

          dripping down, covering your feet

The sound so intense as you’re centered in ripples

They vibrate your skull and beat like a drum

Taking over, you can’t take the pull and it drives you down

Shriveling and giving up because you’re so numb

But I’ll stand up again and glide away

Because I know the force that flowed me here

He won’t scare me for long, for too long today

I remember what drove me here

The rumbling wheels, the gasoline smell

I remember why it all turned to fear

Caress the gentle soothing that’s been strumming all along

The vibrations of this cooling bell

That never could quite drift away

This ringing aloud

This immense sound

Is stuck in my head

Like air in a cloud

This spiraling, spinning around and around

This note will stay stuck like a hole in the ground
