Sweet Red Roses

Sweet Red Roses

A Poem by jawdriscoll

Sweet Red Roses

Sweet smell of those red roses,

Knocking at my door,

That I may chance and open,

The dreams left on my floor.

Begin to ponder lightly,

The days that once went by,

How dreams and you I’d rather lose,

Than spin my world to die.

Sweet smell of those red roses,

Knocking at my door,

That I may chance and recollect,

The thorns upon the floor.
