Garden by the Sea

Garden by the Sea

A Poem by Jacke Du Ponte

A garden by the sea, aroma of life
Bushes so light the sea wind can blow.
Roses grow red and seagulls fly by
A castle by the sea, in the midst of a storm.

The rocks below do not look so dark
Perhaps it is time
Perhaps its not.
A garden by the sea, tulips to find
Tulips of orange and red, tulips with no salt.

The sky transcends into its mighty blues
Pink dandelions grow in the garden
In a garden by the sea, where there is salt
The waves have yet to grasp.

Look at the garden by the sea
No flowers to find.
