Do without

Do without

A Poem by Kenneth Stephen Goodpaster

The eyes of those around me burn my skin
While I don't walk so proud or so loud.
The ocean has carried me to where I've been
And I've drifted back onto solid ground.

I feel as if my body is going to give in
What's it to you if I cave in too soon?
If you asked me what it was all about,
Then I'd say that you could do without.

I personally enjoyed this poem, especially this couplet
"The ocean has carried me to where I've been
And I've drifted back onto solid ground." it can be very well used as a quote. I liked the imagery as well.
