I Cry

I Cry

A Poem by Kenneth Stephen Goodpaster

I do not shed tears to kill sadness pain,
No, they blur the eyes to hinder vision,
Obscuring hopelessness, as hope they feign,
To cover yearning for life’s revision.

"To cover yearning for life's revision."

I honestly believe we all want to "revise" our life like a book. Within the pages, we are able to daydream about possibilities. Therefore, we are hopeful to bring about it in reality. Our expression through the eyes are windows rather then those pages. Think about it:P

Your words are short but have precision, To have read this poem was indeed a good decision, for lachrymose eyes only reign down its derision, of hope of joy and life's fission....Good one really enjoyed it. There is a lot being said in those four lines...tears only trick a dejected person into believing there is hope since they block vision.

The eyes are truly the windows into a person's existence...if you look closely enough (deeply enough) you can see everything. If you try it, looking directly into someone's eyes without turning away, laughing or becoming nervous is probably one of the most difficult things to do. So, to have one's vision hindered does tend to heighten the other senses. I quite enjoyed this one.

Suggestion, the first line: i do not she tears to kill sadness (or) pain
I just think you need something in between those words, or modify one of the words, or omitt one of them.
