Autocrats

Autocrats

A Poem by Kenneth Stephen Goodpaster
"

Order and Government are human establishments in order to dominate.

"
Those exist as Ralph and Jack Merridew,
And those who war the egg-cracking method,
Governing belonging to an elite few
With terrifying demeanor intrepid.
Whether by force or manipulation
An insuperable leadership formed
To enforce slight or full oppression,
With masquerading faces performed.
Social order must be established,
Such an explicitly corrupt pretense
For implicit motions have been banished
Depriving humankind of moral sense.
To hear government liars makes my mouth sour,
Any power over another is too much power

Author's Note

Kenneth Stephen Goodpaster
I don't hate government but I do realize the corruption that exists. I wish we lived in an egalitarian society where no governing body was necessary, but we're human.
