Merry Morrow, Dear Toad

Merry Morrow, Dear Toad

A Poem by Kenneth Stephen Goodpaster
"

The optimist encouraging a toad.

"
Tis’ a merry morrow traveled, dear toad
Whose placid posture holds indifferent
Whilst upon my face, Glee been Sewed
For joy of life I’ve found apparent.
Ontop my removed boot, you now find rest
Whilst upon the ground I do lay down
Without need to have worries to be contest.
Oh, how you hold unmoved with smile-frown
Tis’ a day to be elated, just as any other.
I do not squander of what can be again,
And love all creature as the gentle mother
Without even reserved judgment for a sin.
Tis’ a merry morrow rested, dear toad
For a delightful smile you now have showed
