Power of Words

Power of Words

A Poem by The Rose That Grew From Concrete
"

The Truth

"

Slow the world down for a second

And just breath in the air

Can you feal the peace in the world

It's a funny thing though

All the money that we spend on pleasers

When joy is in the air

All we need is peace on the earth

We could stop it all

The hate, the violence, the war, and pejudice

Yes, we the artist

Its possible to cure the disease of hatred

In all its forms

Weather you write poems, books, or movies like me

Or any other art

Music, painting, drawing, or just speaking can do it

And this is the plan

Inject your art into peoples lives and then you will see

How powerful words are

I love this poem because I am one of those people who enjoy the artistic points of life. I do not believe that people need money to be happy and it sometimes seems that people with the less money have the most fun. Life is full of simple pleasures and I don't think many people take the time to stop and appreicate those things like they should. There is much more to life than just materialistic things and money. Like you say there is art such as music and writings and even speech. But there is much more to it than that as well. Thank you very much for sharing this with us.

"And just breath in" --- breathe.
"Can you feal" --- feel.
"we spend on pleasers" --- pleasures.
"peace on the earth" --- Earth.
"the war, and pejudice" --- prejudice.
"Yes, we the artist" --- Do you mean "Yes, we are the artists" ? If you are going to use a plural noun [we] make sure to keep it plural throughout the sentence [artists].
"Its possible to" --- It's.
"In all its forms" ---- it's.
"Weather you write" --- Whether.
" or just speaking can do it" --- Try "or even speaking can do it" otherwise it doesn't make too much sense.
"art into peoples lives " --- It would sound better if you said "art into the lives of people". If not, you need to put people's lives.

Very well said!!!! I like the message.Too bad people always find easier to discover the malefic power they can have over the others..If only they knew what great power to heal and help lays up within us.
Your poems sound very peaceful when read..and tender. I like it:)
