To A New Day

To A New Day

A Poem by JC

the maddened mind

has heart to wander

heels on fire

and a soul that burns

and yearns

to greet always

 a new dawn

with each awakening

To a maddened mind, life is precious and not to be taken for granted.
Those passionate few who wake up ready to take on the world, they're nuts for sure.
They need the distraction of everyday life to quiet what goes on in their heads.

Interesting I find these reviews. I see this as wholly dark -- only insane people rise to greet the new day with enthusiasm. but hey, I also think, like Stephen King, that anyone who liked high school was nuts.

Amazing beauty in a mere eight lines. The way you formatted the poem added to it in subtle ways

This is quite powerful; I've had to read it a few times to truly catch its essence and beauty. "a soul that burns and yearns to great always a new dawn.." Oh how I love that. Wonderful word choice. Pure talent!
