Holly Daze

Another lonely night,

another holiday spent 

listening to tunes

writing poems

and listening to 

everyone else 

outside having fun...

This year

I am not full 

of rum and drugs,

I am not full

of depressed rage,

throwing an empty

bottle at the wall

of a s****y apartment

on the verge of 

frantic breakdown...

But man,

I am still alone...

Honest and Real....
What brings us more into the sense of "Aloness" is that of rage, depression, surrounding ourselves with negativity.... And yes, that of emptying bottle after bottle... ...
All forms of dreading oneself and secluding ourselves into further isolation and feelings of being "Alone."
I've been there as many have too....
Choosing to live, making a change, letting go of past s**t, and putting ourselves out there ... Can be the first steps on a new path.... Never lose that of "Hope" and faith in believing that times of hardship never define what life will be like forever... It's that of moments in time....

Loneliness can be the worst. I definitely know how you feel. It hurts but don't let it eat you alive. Glad you're channeling your emotions in a more positive way.

I feel you here... Not everyone is having a jolly Christmas filled with laughter and family... Being alone for the season happens to bite. Lol..... But hey you have poetry and you have WC, SO Merry Christmas Jason. :)
