Woman,

With your joyousness

And your smiles,

The way you dance through nature

And nature moves through you,

You are of the earth

And the earth of you

 

Woman,

Take pity on the man

Who exists starkly

And laboriously,

We see with cold intent

And dismiss

What the Gods

Try to tell us,

Yet,

Even we

Who yearn to move away

From all that is natural

Cannot be anything

But mesmerized

And in awe

Of the woman
