Excerpt from IneffableA Poem by JC“Is there any real possibility of destiny? Is it possible that things really do happen for a reason? Or is it all just glorious wonderful happenchance? Did I meet you, pursue you and experience so much joy, happiness, pain, sorrow and anger because it was meant to be? Usually, when people say “This was meant to be” they are forecasting nothing but immense love and joy. But can I not say that it was all meant to be and have it mean absolutely everything? All the heartache and all the love propelled us into new perspectives of ourselves. Should we hate each other now and feel anger over everything having to come to an end? Or, should we feel that much more love that we gave each other the gift of knowing, the gift of becoming anew. And is it really ever over? What I have learned about myself, and of life, from all the trials and tribulations experienced with you, all the hindsight and thought… how much I have pondered and wondered and gained from it all… that stays with me for a lifetime… I can pass that on to another generation, I can advise a lovesick ailing friend more competently and with a greater depth of relation to humanity in general. You are forever a part of me now, I will forever know your face, forever be in debt to you and life, that I got a chance to feel and experience as much as I could, that I got the chance to be alive… we are all dying miracles, existing to be forgotten no matter how long we are remembered… with this perspective all is right and beautiful…” © 2014 JC |
