my new friend

my new friend

A Poem by Jazmyne

Isn't it so interesting how I was lude to you.

Everywhere I went, anywhere I clicked,
your name was what always caught my eye.

so i had to check you out.

Strangely, I knew there was something about you,
something that I had to get to know.
Even though it was nothing like me,

I had to give it a try.

From the moment we started talking,
I knew you were different.
Immediately all my frowns were turned up-sided-down.
Everything you said brought smiles to my face.

You were so comforting,
and made me feel so special again.

I've never had these smiles on my face.
I never went to bed wishing for the next day.

I've only known you for a few days,
but I'm already thanking for you.
You have given my my hope and faith back.
And made a big difference in such a short while.
