Easter Memories

Easter Memories

A Poem by StruckByLightning
"

Happy Easter!

"
Beautiful Easter eggs hidden around,
Just waiting, waiting to be found.
Eggs of different colors and sizes,
To a child, all are surprises.

The eager children were quickly told
A giant pink bunny, so bright and bold,
Had hid the eggs the night before,
"So go and find them, go explore!"

The children raced and flew around,
Looking for any egg above the ground.
Once an egg was found, they squealed with delight,
But most were completely out of sight.

Easter, a bliss and joyous day,
Brings families closer, as they say.
Children happily playing with each other,
And also loving their father and mother.

Happy Easter!!

Great job for your first rhyming poem. Most of my poetry rhymes so rather giving you tips, maybe check out some of mine and see what you think? Reading other people's work always gives me inspiration. You captured the spirit of Easter so well done!

A really fun and delightful Easter poem. I think you did a great job on this.

I'm not one to talk about rhyming, as I use a free style approach in my writing... but, I had no problem with following the flow and rhyme of this piece.
Good job! Lovely, light piece.
Keep writing!

Curious... were you struck by lightning?

About
Hmmm... how should I get started? Well, my display name, StruckByLightning, is a metaphor of being struck by inspiration, because inspiration can electrify a person's mind the same way lightning can. .. more..
