Self Righteous A******s

Self Righteous A******s

A Poem by Connor Jarvis

They begin to call the men one by one
Each unsure of what was to be of their fate behind the door
Whether they'd be canned or forgiven
A******s puckered and testicals retreated whenever a name was called.
Our fates given to a self righteous a*****e who thinks better of himself
A self righteous a*****e who looks down on the real people
A self righteous a*****e who sits behind a screen
A self righteous a*****e who scolds us whenever he gets the chance
A self righteous a*****e who practices hypocrisy by brutally beating his wife and children in his home on a drunken rage.
How dare they look down on us.
The title is tainted anyhow
My name was called
I stood
Staggered
And fell
I am drunk
I knew what was to come when my face hit the floor and when the bile left my body.
I turned over, laid on my back blinded by the fake fluorescent lights
"Take me to jail mr. Probation officer."
