It's Special

This is my first time dabbling in poetry. It just hit me all of a sudden and I had to put it into words. Please feel free to comment. I accept all criticism:)

Searching for something special 

Whose to say we haven't already met it? 

That love in her heart, she always felt it 

Looking through the glass 

Living her life through a mask 

It's a part of our past 

It's a purpose, it's a mission 

Our ultimate decision 

When we put away the best part of our feelings 

Yes, it's special 

So when she knows, it's when we'll know 

It's special

I love how everything just flows perfectly throughout the poem. It puts the reader- at least it puts me- in the mind of knowing when you have found your soulmate, but it also seems to describe something deeper than that. It seems to describe someone looking for purpose and how they will know when they have found it, and it is truly special indeed. This is a wonderful poem and perfectly put into words. I also liked the structure of it- how some parts of it rhymed, but the whole thing wasn't limited to it. You had some parts of it rhyming but some parts didn't. It really helped keep me interested in knowing what else would come next.

All in all, this is a wonderful poem and you should definitely make more. I encourage all who read this to share with your friends and to review this piece.

Wow! Wasn't expecting all of that. Yes, I was trying to show different angles from the woman's perspective while also allowing the man to give glimpses into his feelings. Tried to make it a bit romantic. Thanks :)
