The times

The times

A Poem by jaredcp25
"

when we loved eachother

"

hoped on a plain and saw the world

you grew old and weary ,

 I grew old and bold

I could smell the ocean

across a thousands seas

could taste your lips

with every breeze

counting flower pedals

bleeding from thorns

separated, my heart is torn

I see the sun reflect

as your blonde hair glows

your finger tips

are like an electric volt

your grew weary and grew old

I grew older and more bold

we made promises to true to keep

I wrote name in the sand on every beach

I claimed mountains

as you stood cold

we were done forever

this I was curtain

abbreviate to me all your thoughts

running from the shadows

until your caught

i saw the world

you fell apart

we both grew older

so did our hearts

and when wind blows

I taste your lips

we still fight through

waves currents and rips

you grew weary

I grew bold

we grew older

love turned to stone
