truthful lies

It isn’t all true what they say

  Because what didn’t kill me 

did not make me stronger

It just gave me all these stupid feelings

I write about in poems

But with no one left to read them to.

You create a sort of nostalgic atmosphere right away with the first line. It also tells a story, in a way, about someone who is abused or put down in someway with no way to deal with it and no one to turn to. I really like the last line, "but with no one left to read them to." It's so powerful. I really like this piece, it says a lot in only a few lines. Top notch work! Love it! Keep at it :)
