One Hears

Inexperience lost to ripeness,

"


 

Unpolished was her pitch
An alphabet of sorrow so rich
And thru her throat
She carried the note
Scraped, fat and breaking apart
Where the lamentations from her heart
As they landed, silence fell
Then her pride, began to swell
