Unknown ChildA Poem by JRBThis poem, was written, for a child I never knew and if the gods are willing someday I may………
I’m sorry that I could never see your
birth
For your destination is much different from
mine
Beautiful was your mother talented so
divine
Although I’ll never know what sex that you may
be
A man was I not much at hand
Although you’ll think that we both did you
wrong
For they can offer you more than we could ever
have done
When they tell you the story that has to be
told
This was the best thing we could have
done
And someday you’ll truly understand
