Darkness or Transformation

Darkness or Transformation

A Poem by JRB
"

Alone I will stand welcoming your tide, Lost to those on the other side,

"

I have been here before my friend
Where darkness rules in the end
For what is it that I have offend
That brings you back to me again
Making you feel that I’m condemned

In the present of your silent death
I draw upon my final breath
Throwing down my soul to rest
At your feet without regret
I set my self short at best

So I cast my spirit down to thee
Silently begging to your inner pleas
I cry aloud in soundless creeds
Only hoping to be set free
The cries I have are only for me

To grant me just one more day
Knowing the price that I have to pay
I am willing to do whatever you say
Even if it means to turn away
Keeping all others where they shall stay

Alone I will stand welcoming your tide
Lost to those on the other side
Holding tightly to my inner pride
That takes me closer to death in stride
A feeling from within I have never tried

So now I wait to hear your reply
The ghostly echo to my cry
A moment longer to say goodbye
I sit wonder when I will die
I ask myself as to why

So grant me just one more lonely night
Before my soul you take in flight
Let me see the morning light
Before I fade from this earthly sight
To start my inner planetary plight
