My faces are many

My faces are many

A Poem by JRB
"

to many faces,,,

"

Did you ever
Put on the
wrong face
In the morning light of confusion

It often happens you know
When you are dazed
By the nights passing perplexities

Of thoughts never shared
Of a love
Not at all known

It is hard to wear the wrong face
As you carry thru your day
Anticipating the night

Especially if it’s the face of joy
When you reached for sorrow
What is more, the day is long
and then there is tomorrow

I like this, I think that perhaps I have reached for the wrong face, though I don't know that I had ever thought about it quite this way before
