Giuliana was her name

Giuliana was her name

A Poem by Jaye Yee-Vandalyn

Giuliana! They would call, when darkness falls.

In her throne of steel, she parades, with a band for rebellion on her head.
Unlike any you’ve seen. This earth, her feet have never been.
Like a black panther, she prowls the realm, she knows too well.
In those lands, she’s guardian of the night, defending peers with fallen lights.
Armed with a sharp mind, she proclaims! Mistakes are never mine. So,
Never did she mind, that her body was but a capsule, for her mind.
Alas, Earth never saw her, as a treasure to boast.

But she never bows, to the sorrows, thrust upon her.
Reclaiming her pride, with a pen, and the words she types.
Over time we would come to know, her plight, and her might.
Great as the mighty cliffs, she forgave this land, who’ve forsaken her.
Gawking foes, unworthy of mercy, won’t believe how she’s rose.
Iridescent tear in her eye, look close, an eulogy is recited to appease the cries.
Returning to her rightful path, of halo wreaths, and noble births.
