Letting Go

Letting Go

A Poem by Nhes G.
"

can't ever find the strength to give up something valuable

"

Being away is a great sorrow
For a heart that lost something
And goodbye is the hardest word
The lips could ever speak to the one you loved.

Just as the sky tries to hold still
The setting sun that sinks on the beach
For if it hides its colorful rays
The whole sky would turn to gray.
Even the shore wishes that someday
The waves could stay with it forever
Never to roll back to the ocean
Bringing its sands away.

So is the leaf did its best to hang on
Gripping tightly to the tree
For if the wind blows and it falls
There'd be no chance to stay.
Even the eyes forced to hold back
The tears that were trying to escape
For if they begin to flow
The pain from a broken heart will show.

Alone is the loneliest word of all
No one would ever want to be with
That's why goodbye is the hardest word to say
And letting go is the hardest thing to do.
