In your eyes, lea.

In your eyes, lea.

A Poem by Janesy

I've never catched your gaze,
nor seen the eyes behind those hazy glasses.
You have never mentioned love,
or is commitment out of the question?

If sexuality is fluid, could it be
that you have strayed from here?
Because here I am missing you to death
but there you wander, 20 seconds across.

Out of sight (though i was never really blind)
But never out of mind.
And if I should walk by faith today,
would you take me by the hand tomorrow?

I miss you. I miss you. I miss you.
And to be honest, that is all I have to offer.
So should you at this point be thinking of me too,
do tell me now, or don't tell me ever.

Maybe I can never be close enough to touch you
or fill the gaps in between your fingers
But know this if there's anything you do not know about me,
I think I can be mad in love with you.

Yes I haven't glided on the wings of an eagle
or came close to one for that matter.
But whenever you lean towards me
I soar higher than what the skies can even offer.

I have never wrote a poem
Not for any particular individual anyway
And if this is a love poem,
I'll never write for anyone the same way.

Take off the glasses dear.
Look me in the eyes, clear.
And if you see a summer of love, draw closer.
I promise to have you home, come winter.

Very well written enjoyed every moment
and every ounce of raw emotion invested
Into writing this. This is simply superb and
Overall good. I don't know what else could
Be said about this. Love the line "I can never
Be close enough to touch or fill the gaps between
Your fingers" very clever way of putting that together.
