Take a bow

Take a bow

Take a bow, her life in rounds.
Circles, engulfing this forsaken town.
Home? It's too far.
Missing keys, how bizarre.
Try to tune in, but no one's answering.
Wait, no one cares to listen.
For ignorance is bliss
and silence is golden.

Watch.
As they sweep -  everything, their problems, under the carpet.
Play pretend. Hide its existence.
Composure she has. But wearing thin she is.
Like fossils. They'll someday soon be uncovered.
And like fossils, out on display. Museum worthy.
In the open.
Dirty laundry.
Where every tom, dick and harry, will get to see.
Solve them now. Why don't you?
Better late, than cursed forever.

Your pretence, well played.
You probably deserve an applause.
A standing ovation for all your flaws.
Love is blind, it's no wonder
you are the cancer and the uncaught burglar.
Run, but you cannot hide.
Someday soon, she will muster all her might
To stand up,
For herself,
She, the poor creature
Around the corner, another light that shines brighter,
than you, the fool.
Pick up the trash.
And it's time to leave.
What a relieve.
The tangled web you weave.
Naive, no longer.

Now hang your head in shame.
