IN HIS DEATHA Poem by mynameisyouPoem was written for one of my foster childrenThe crystal lamp on the table is aglow as she lays in the stillness unable to sleep. lurking nearby is daddy casting familiar shadows on the hallway wall.
The doorway manifests a figure where the shadows of lace curtains used to sway. adding decorum, a flare of dignity blowing eagerly, innocently in the night.
Echoes of pitter-patter advance tossing shadows, no longer clouded.
Upon the white ceiling the pillows, the shades, the lamp.
Her mind racked with pain drifts in and out of despair magnetizing, drawing her in seeking solace now, only in his death. © 2012 mynameisyou |
