VISIONS

VISIONS

With marvel you stare in the dawn of day

At the angel posed in the narrow doorway.

Your Beloved, now hea-ven-ly bound

Living in paradise on solid ground.

You seek to touch his handsome face,

Love knowing no bounds, outshining space,

Yet he eludes and disappears

Through the mystery door without a prayer.

So warmth the taste of the Eucharist.

An offering of supper to even the least,

The timid figure with bright big eyes,

Surely an angel in mortal disguise.

His cologne trails mildly and captures your nose,

You smell the fragrance of a calmed white rose,

Time immobile in the moment scarce

Suspends your memories in anointed air.

Beyond the dawn, foreign stars wink,

You hear his laughter and your heart just sinks,

The torch flaming brightly on his home above

You behold forever sweet visions of his love.
