Pokey Wokey Hedgehog Girl

Pokey Wokey Hedgehog Girl

A Poem by Jane E. Ries
"

...

"

Pokey Wokey hedgehog girl
cute as a button
sweet as pie
is the apple
of her grandma's eye

Pokey Wokey hedgehog girl
went to the store
bought her a doll
traded it at school
for a basketball

Pokey Wokey hedgehog girl
had a birthday party
ate lots of cake,
ice cream, and candy
then got a stomach ache

Pokey Wokey hedgehog girl
found her a friend
played at the park
swung on the swings
until it was dark

Pokey Wokey hedgehog girl
mom called her home
got ready for bed
brushed her teeth
and combed her head

Pokey Wokey hedgehog girl
picked-out a book
about Little Bo Peep
read, read, read,
then fell asleep

goodnight!

About
These stories and poems represent a book in the making. The title of which is still undecided. My goal has been to present animals in ways that are compassionate and often funny. I hope you enjoy and .. more..
