A Heart Turned Cold

A Heart Turned Cold

A Poem by Janene
"

It is what it is.

"

You cannot live

With an angry bull

No matter how much you give

He will always pull

He may ask your opinion

Just to proclaim you mistaken

Confident with guilt

Your thoughts will be forsaken

Although he’s the jester

You soon become the fool

Your soul he will pester

Tis his favorite cynical tool

He will demoralize your character

With his so called caring word

Twisting and turning

Anyone else you may have heard

You are full of idle chatter

That makes no sense

For your quip he will shatter

Though whispered in defense

His words being stick

And malevolence being stone

He cuts beyond the quick

And you cry all alone
